Yesterday I ran the BMO Kelowna Marathon. It was a beautiful day and my time was 3:17.41(3 hours 17 minutes and 41 seconds).

okay so i took your time and simplified it down into minutes and got 198 minutes. so i divided 198 minutes to 42 km and got 4.7 minutes a kilometer . and for miles i divided 198 minutes to 26.2 miles and got 7.5 miles a mile.and it takes 35 x country loops.

I think your overall minutes are 196 and 30 seconds. So I made that into a number which came with a result of 196.30 and divided it by 42 and came with a result of 4.700(rounded) so it's 1km/4.7 minutes just like Kerrnels. Although, I could have just not rounded the result by that would in a result of a very complicated number. For your miles 196.30 divided by 26.2 and came with a result of 7.492/m. A marathon would make 35 loops (X-Country) beacuse 42 divided 26.2 comes with a result of 35.

3 hours, 17 minutes and 41 seconds is hard to work with so I converted it to minutes only. to get this answer use a unit rate also. 26.2/26.2=1 197.41/26.2=7.5. 7.5 minutes per mile.

to get the answer, you need to divide 42 by 1.2 to see how many 1.2 fit inside 42. there are 35 cross country loops in a marathon.

to get mr harbecs pace for 1.2 km, you need to find 1 km and .2 km. 1 km= 4.7 minutes. .2 km=.94 km. 4.7 +.94=5.67.

Oh, and the reason these are so short is because when I had first typed this, it was so long and so late, that when i pressed publish, the internet just had to shut off and make all my info go away. boo hoo for me.

Since there is 60 minutes in an hour I thought it would be too complicated if I made a decimal. So I just rounded your minutes up to 198 minutes. I used how much kilometres in a marathon is because it would be less complicated. I divided 42 by 1.2 and got 35. So it takes 35 cross country loops to make a marathon. So there is 60 minutes in an hour. Since you ran 3 hours, i did 60x3=180. So you ran 180 min. And you then add 17 to 180. (180+17=197) but theres 41 sec. left. So i just rounded it to make 198/km. So you said you also ran 26.2 miles. I then did 198 divided by 26.2= 7.55/m. The loops would be 35, because 42 divided by 1.2 equals to 35.

I used a ratio table to figure out most of the questions. First I found out that your overall minutes was 197.41. Then I divided 197.41 by 42 and got 4.7, so it's 4.7mins per km.

To get your pace for the mile, I divided 197.41 by 26.2 and got 7.5. So then it's 7.5 mins/mile.

For the cross country lap, I took the km from the marathon and the km from the xcountry lap. So then I divided 42 by 1.2 and got 35. It takes 35 xcountry laps to make a whole marathon.

Your pace for the xcountry lap would then be 5.6 because I multiplied 4.7 (mins per km marathon) and 1.2 (mins per lap xcountry) and got around 5.6.

The first thing I did was convert the time into minutes. 3 hours = 180 minutes 180+17= 197+ 1 min because i rounded the 41 seconds to 1. So the total is 198 minutes. 198 mins divide by 42 = 4.7 so your average pace was 4.7/per km.

The next thing I did was 198 divide by 26.2= 75. so 75m/perkm. It would take 35 loops to make a marathon because 1.2x35=42, Your pace would be around 6m for a cross country lap.

For question 1 my answer was 4.7 because I simplified you time and got 198 mins and I divided that by 42.

I got the time and I multiplied 60x3, because 60 minutes equals 1 hour. 60x3=180. Then I added the 17 minutes to 180 and I got 197. 180+17=197. After that I add the seconds. So it is 197.41.
